The Road(Ster) Trip – Los Angeles feat. Project-G

At this rhythm, I’ll finish publishing my 2017 Roadster Trip by year 2025… I’m really sorry about all the time it takes to produce these blog posts, but we’ve been really busy improving the website speed, design and small things that you cannot see but makes the experience at our store more enjoyable!

So, here’s my post about the trip, of the city of angels: Los Angeles!

I gotta say, LA was one of the places I did enjoy the most during my trip. What a lively city.

Beautiful beaches…

Self-serve craft beer bars…!

Beverly Hills, wow!

And one hell of a cool sunset!

Did I, at one point, feel like at the beginning of The Fast And Furious… yup!

We announced the event a few weeks before it and our fine friends at Project-G helped us promote the event with this cool banner!

The event was planned as follows : we meet in a huge parking (Peter’s Marina) and then we go on a drive for photoshoot on PCH (Pacific Coast Highway). Unfortunately, things did not go as smooth as planned… haha!

This meeting was by far the BIGGEST one we did! Over 100+ Miatas showed up and we literally created traffic everywhere we moved haha!

I gotta say that the meeting location was PACKED before we arrived, so there were Roadsters everywhere! Really early in the meeting, we were asked to move the meeting, so all the photos I took were a bit rushed (sorry for bad quality)!

Here are the photos at Peter’s Marina :

This is the famous JonB’s NA Miata. It’s rocking some pretty rare Rays TE37 SL in 15×8 +25 and you can see it’s rocking the Project-G Corner Flares, (discontinued) Side G-Fusers & G-String Bikini Top! Such a clean car modded with taste!

This is Steve’s (from Project-G) NA with ultra-rare one-of-a-kind SSR EXC Fins 15” Wheels. You can also see the Project-G Corner Flares, (discontinued) Side G-Fusers & G-String Bikini Top as well as their new G-Vents!

This one is Joe’s (Steve’s partner) which is pretty much rocking the same parts as the previous one, but on a red car! The wheels are super nice SSR SP1R 15” Wheels~

This BRG NA was so clean! It had a neat tan color Project-G Bikini Top and some beautiful Runabout S800 Mirrors! The wheels were super wide Star Road Glowstar MSS 15” Wheels!

This NA was had some pretty wide/low offset Work CR01 15” Wheels.

This NC probably has my favorite wheel fitment ever. It had some very concave (now discontinued) Advan RS 17” Wheels!

Some more photos…

So, this was the end of our meet at Peter’s Marina, we had to move. It was good while it lasted~

We then tried to move to different location, but as I don’t know any place in Los Angeles, I told everyone to meet on PCH (which is a HUGE road)… all you could see is confused Miatas driving everywhere in every direction.

We somehow managed to find the parking lot of a restaurant that was not opened and we filled it completely.

As I was enjoying the awesomeness of such a thing, it took about 2 minutes before a security guard kicked us of our 2nd meeting in the same day. I tried to grab as many pictures as I could, so these were rushed (again). Hope you’ll enjoy, still!

Some intruders can be seen…~

Gotta love the near Enkei RPF1 15” Wheels on this silver NB~

This is Chris’ ND, he was one of our first customers to drill the trunk of their ND to fit a GT Wing. What a neat result. Car has the Odula Front Lip and Odula Carbon GT Wing. He gave me a Jackson Racing T-Shirt when we met (thanks!!).

Very cool (and rough) NA!

Peter-san’s NA with the Garage Vary Tail Lights, some ultra-rare SSR Star Shark 14” Wheels, the REV9 1028 Mirrors, full Nakamae interior, Barchetta Front Bumper, Garage Vary Headlight Lid and so much more! What a clean car.

Lee’s ultra clean ND that somehow reminded me of my car before the color change! It had the nice Rays ZE40 17” Wheels, Runduce Big Brake Kit, Kansai Service Front Diffusers, TUCKIN99 Side Skirts, TK Style Rear Diffuser & Garage Vary Rear Spoiler! This is such a quality build, the photos don’t do it justice.

Here’s Sean’s (just-finished) NC that was rocking the Jet Stream Gran Turismo Fender Flares as well as some super rare (and wide) SSR 17” (Type-C?) Wheels. The Front Lip was the Garage Vary Glide Front Lip!

Hmmm…

Here’s another ND that had an out-of-this-world shine (owner was a professional car detailer)! It had the Garage Vary Glide Front Lip, some (discontinued) Rays MTE37 17” Wheels, Rocket Bunny Rear Diffuser and Rallybacker Low Ducktail Spoiler! Love the “ND RF” plate~

Look at those SUPER WIDE Rays TE37v 15” Wheels~

Some more photos…

It all ended up with the best way to end a trip… getting caught at 90mph in a 65 zone…

I want to thank EVERYONE who came to this messy event! I’m sorry I was not able to talk with so many people due to being rushed out of both locations, but I do appreciate how nice it was for everyone to leave their place to meet us during their weekends! Special thanks for Joe & Steve at Project-G for helping me throughout the years and to organize this meeting, love you guys! I’ve added some more content (below) if you want to see more (nicer) photos and video!

Shipping Delays & Restrictions from COVID-19

Dear Roadster lovers, On April 1st 2020, Japan Post announced that they temporarily suspend shipping to countries heavily affected by Coronavirus (COVID-19).

We always took great care of our customers and this is really challenging times. We always aimed at providing the best possible service and we’re working every hours of the day to solve this problem one way or another.

***THIS DOES NOT AFFECT ORDERS SHIPPED VIA UPS (OVERSIZED)***

All of our oversized products such as aerodynamics and our heavier products such as wheels & coilovers can still be shipped worldwide! If you combine oversized & regular product, we can ship worldwide!

***UPDATED NOVEMBER 5TH 2022***

What are we doing to solve this problem ?

We are now shipping to all countries with the COVID-19 restriction via DHL or UPS. The DHL and UPS services are extremely quick and usually reach the customer within 2-3 business day. If the country is not affected by the Japan Post suspension, we ship the same way as usual.

Are there extras to pay ?
90% of the orders will ship with zero extra to pay.

The DHL & UPS service cost start at ~$20.00 (compared to $10.50 for Japan Post).

Most extras that are charged are for $5.50 to $9.50.

Can I know if I need to pay extra ?
Sure, you can send us an email with the product(s) you want to order and we’ll let you know if there are any extras to pay. You can also place the order as usual and if there is an extra, we’ll send you an email with link to pay the extra fee.

Can I order and wait until Japan Post resumes service to my country ?
Totally! We’ve had some customers who ordered items that are not time sensitive and they shipped a few weeks/months later when the service resumed to their country. Please note that we cannot give ETA on when the service will resume (for example, it’s been over 3 months for Australia). We strongly suggest upgrading to DHL or UPS for the peace of mind and rapidity/reliability of the service.

USA customers :

As a big volume of orders go to USA, we managed to get very good prices on DHL & UPS, so the extras are usually much lower than normal (if any). We shipped hundreds of orders since Japan Post halted shipping to USA and the turnaround time has been incredibly fast.

Is production affected/delayed?

95% of our products are proudly made in Japan where the Coronavirus spread has not been too bad. Workers continue working, but with extra precautions and, so far, production lead time has not been affected at all.

Take care!

We appreciate all your business, but first, please be careful. This virus is no jokes! It’s time to take some time off, and one of the safest thing to do at the moment is work on your car (haha)! The global situation is hard on everyone and we hope that everything will come back to normal soon. Don’t forget, it’s safer to stay about 1 Miata width from each other.

Nakamae Wait Times

Nakamae has been the leader in extremely high-quality leather products one can buy for the Mazda MX-5 Miata. We have been the official distributor for their products outside of Japan for 10 years!

For those who don’t know, Nakamae is a single-man operated business. He takes pride in offering his craftmanship at a very fair price. He always prefers to take his time and do a perfect stitch rather than rush a product that won’t satisfy his perfectionism.

The carefully chosen leather/synthetic leather, perfect fit, beautiful stitching and matching colors to factory specs is what makes it a perfect choice for anyone that wants a perfect build.

Often copied, but never duplicated, we’re proud to offer these ORIGINAL products designed & hand built by the legendary Nakamae-san.

For the past few years, Nakamae-san has had small health issues (he’s over 70 years old) and decided to reduce his work load. Unfortunately, his queue remains high as the work he does is just so perfect and beautiful.

Nakamae’s current production lead time is approximately 3-4 months. This is not a delay for bulk orders, it’s literally the queue to get a new custom product from Nakamae. This lead time is not a guarantee (it could be shorter, it could be longer), but please estimate around this time frame for all new orders of Nakamae products.

If you order other parts along with Nakamae products, we can ship the other product earlier (depending on the situation & by request), but by default, we’ll do 1 shipment.

We appreciate the time you took to read this announcement and hope you’ll consider Nakamae products as a choice for your high quality build.

The Road(Ster) Trip – San Diego

It’s been a while since I’ve updated this series of posts. I haven’t forgotten, I’ve just been really busy with running the store and improving all the logistics.

Now, I gotta admit, my new favorite city in USA is definitely San Diego. I’ve met countless awesome people, loved the vibe of the place… it’s so beautiful.

Okay, enough of this, but one last shot showing the beauty of the place :

That’s a good shot showing our new REV9 Door Decals!

The meeting was a little bit last minute like most of our meets, ha. We held the meeting at a brewery I wanted to visit for a very long : Green Flash Brewing.

Here are the pictures:

You probably notice something interesting with the emblem of this white ND? Well, it’s rocking the very cool Garage Vary Emblem Intake! It’s super subtle, but actually functional.

The very next car was running quite a special kit…

Gotta love the crooked mirrors and fitment on this one!

This one is from a long time customer! You can see the Garage Vary Front Lip, Runabout S800 Mirrors and Enkei Apache-II Wheels.

I tried to take a good shot of the interior as it was really worthy, but it was getting pretty late! The interior was really classy with some old school bucket seats, JoyFast Shift Knob, JoyFast GT400 Shift Extender and Nardi 330MM Wood & Polished Spokes Steering Wheel. You can also spot the Nakamae Transmission Tunnel Trims!

Here are a bunch of NA’s who showed up.

And this one with cool 15×8 Gram Lights Wheels!

Even more Roadsters showed up!

This one was rocking the Jet Stream Turn Signal Intakes as well as very cool 15” Gram Lights 57V Wheels!

And even more people showed up!

Needless to say that for a last minute event, the number of people who showed up was quite impressive!

Ham (the legend) even showed up!

We were so busy with the event that we got locked in the parking lot… good thing we’re not driving lifted trucks!

We want to thank all of you who showed up! It was great to see so many people interested in seeing us.

10 Modifications & Upgrades You Should Do To Your ND (2016+) MX5

Here is a short list of modifications that we believe are totally worth doing to your 2016+ ND Mazda MX5 Miata. This list was made after doing a trip throughout the whole USA (17,000+ KM) and racing the car at Laguna Seca Raceway (check out our blog section The Road(Ster) Trip). It’s not a list entirely for racing, nor entirely for street use, it’s to have a good overall balance.

Safety

As we always say, safety first! Let’s talk about some modifications that we believe will just improve your safety and will be worth it (as a wrecked MX-5 is not as valuable as the one who’s never been in an accident).

1. ZOOM Wide Blue Mirrors

This is one of the mod that we ALWAYS do on ALL of our Roadsters. Why? Because our cars are super low and these mirrors have 2 functions : wide depth of view (so you can see what’s in your dead angle with your roof is up) and blue mirror (anti-glare). It’s pretty awesome when driving at night and being followed by a car with bright lights. We also recommend getting the Jupiter Blue Rear View Mirror to minimize glare from cars at night! If you want something a little different, check the JoyFast Wide Mirrors.

(Photo : ZOOM Wide Blue Mirrors)

2. Mazda Backup Camera

This is a very popular item. It’s coming standard on the 2019+ models, but for those of us with a ND1, it’s a great mod to have. It takes a few hours to install, but it’s so worth it to be sure never to back up on anyone or a curb. The optional cleaner is really nice as the camera can get dirty/get humidity as it’s not covered.

(Photo : Mazda Backup Camera)

3. Aftermarket Muffler

Why is a muffler a safety device? Our cars are hard to notice (very low/small) and the factory exhaust is quite silent. A muffler is a good way for others to know we are there (loud pipes save lives). Although there are performance gains from it, they are very limited without ECU tuning. Our favorite in term of sound/looks is the Integral Kobe Type-US Muffler. You want to control the noise? Check out the Fujimura Dual-Sound Muffler! Want a totally different look? Check out the Autoexe Dual Center Exhaust!

Performance

4. Coilover Suspension

The OEM suspension on the ND MX-5 is great, but you will reach its limit at one point. Body roll is quite big on the car and we just love to see lowered Miatas! Our pick for street suspension would be the Cusco Street Zero which will reduce the body roll while making the car even more comfortable than from factory. For racing, it really depends on your goals, but you can check out our Coilovers for ND!

(Photo : Cusco Street-Zero Coilovers)

5. Lightweight Wheels

Changing wheels greatly affects the dynamics of your Roadster. The vehicle is very lightweight and does not have the huge power that most sports car have. This means that keeping weight low is really important, and even more important for rotational mass. Our best pick for street wheels are the 16×8 +35 Rays TE37 Sonic Wheels that are forged, light weight and really mean looking. If you’re more racing oriented, we believe that the 17×8.5 +40 Rays TE37 Saga Wheels would be your weapon of choice, allowing you to run wider tires and bigger brakes. If your budget doesn’t allow for forged wheels, we think that the Enkei PFM1 17×8.5 +40 Wheels are awesome stylish, lightweight and high quality wheels for the price. If budget doesn’t matter and you want the lightest wheels available, check these 16×7.5 +28 JoyFast T66-F Wheels or 17×8 +34 TWS T66-F Wheels (if you need bigger brake clearance).

6. Chassis Bracing

The ND MX-5 is super lightweight. Unfortunately, making the car so light had a small drawback on the chassis rigidity. It’s not so bad, considering it’s quite easy to fit with strut braces and underchassis bracing. Our recommended solution is to run the Autoexe Strut Tower Bar Set combined with Autoexe Member Brace Set for maximum rigidity. If you want to try a very simple mod that you’ll feel right away, try the Nielex Pro-Spec Knuckle Support that will fix a very weak point of the ND. The Nielex piece has sold over 3000 units in Japan as it’s a very inexpensive mod that will make the steering feel much more stable/solid.  If your car is lowered, don’t forget to change your Front & Rear Sway Bars to bring back suspension geometry to how it should be (our pick : Autoexe Sway Bars).

7. Brake Pads

This is a mod that anyone doing spirited driving will enjoy right away. Please be careful, though. We found out that most street brake pads will not survive intense circuit racing. If you don’t plan on racing your car at the track, our pick would be the famous ACRE Light Sports Brake Pads which produce minimal brake dust and give the car a very nice and direct brake feel. If you intend on racing, depending on your racing category, we have a variety of Racing Brake Pads available! Need more braking power than the OEM brakes can offer? Check out the Runduce Big Brake Kit!

Styling

8. Performance Steering Wheel

We think one of the weak point of the fourth generation MX-5 is the thin and easy-to-scratch leather steering wheel. Upgrading to a thicker steering wheel will feel A LOT better during spirited drives, it’ll improve the look of your interior and most likely give you more leg room as most of them are D-Shaped (this means that the bottom part is flat). The replacements steering wheels that we offer (look for pictures of steering wheels with airbag) will retain the OEM airbag and all your buttons (radio/cruise control) and can be used with paddle shifters as well (for automatic transmission). Our favorite is definitely the KenStyle Leather Steering Wheel (for street use) or KenStyle Suede Steering Wheel (for racing). If you want the most advanced steering wheel on the market, don’t forget to check out the DAMD Performance Steering Wheel! Honorable mention to the Autoexe Sports Steering Wheel for those who want to upgrade without going too thick.

(Photo : KenStyle Leather Steering Wheel)

9. Japanese Style Floor Mats

The ND’s interior is so minimalistic and perfect that it’s hard to make it look much better. A neat upgrade that most enthusiasts will love are the upgraded floor mats. Our personal favorites are the Zero X Pattern Floor Mats that will match the red stitching on the interior, but for the more old school lovers, Zero Checkered Floor Mats (Small) or Zero Checkered Floor Mats (Big) will just do the trick! All the floor mats that we sell are manufactured in Japan and are made to last very long.

(Photo : Zero X-Pattern Floor Mats)

10. Short Antenna

It’s one thing that most owners hate to look at. The OEM antenna makes the car look like a RC car. A very cheap investment will make your car’s exterior look much more luxurious. If you like the look of Honda S2000 OEM Antenna, check out the TUCKIN99 Short Antenna. If you want the shortest antenna on the market, look at the Arrows Super Short Antenna!

(Photo : TUCKIN99 Ver1 Short Antenna)

Bonus Upgrades

BONUS 1 : Custom Finish Emblems

All the custom emblem kits that we sell include the OEM JDM “Roadster” Emblem that fits right in the holes of the original MX-5 one and shows your knowledge of the Japanese culture! It also confuses the people who never saw the ND MX-5 and think it’s a new model. Those emblems are brand new and will replace your OEM ones. Our most popular are the REV9 Black Chrome Emblems, followed by the REV9 Flat Black Emblems and the REV9 Gloss Black Emblems. If you like the chrome emblems and just want more JDM touch to your vehicle, get the Mazda OEM Roadster Emblem.

(Photo : REV9 Black Chrome Emblems)

BONUS 2 : Seat Covers

If you bought a ND with fabric seats and want to upgrade your interior (and keep the OEM seats looking brand new for better resale value), consider putting some nice and tight fit Seat Covers. The Seat Covers that we sell are made so that if you get into an accident, the seat airbags will deploy without any problem due to the construction of our seat covers. Our favorite choice is the Autowear Seat Covers followed by the DAMD Seat Covers and for those who want a more custom option, check out the Nakamae Sports Seat Covers and Nakamae Quilted Seat Covers! Installation of any of these 4 just take under 30 minutes and makes the seat much more comfortable.

(Photo : DAMD Quilted Seat Covers)

BONUS 3 : Lightweight Flywheel

If you had a NA or NB Miata, one thing you might miss is the very quick throttle response from the cable throttle. Unfortunately, the ND has an electronic throttle and it’s not as quick to react as the good old cable. We found out that changing the flywheel to a lighter weight flywheel just does the trick. Be careful, though, if you pick a flywheel that’s too light, it’s going to affect the driveability of the car. If you want the perfect balance, we recommend the Autoexe Sports Flywheel (which is also available for the 1.5L Engine) which is perfect for street or race use.

ND’s at Tokyo Auto Salon 2019

January of every year is a special time thanks to Tokyo Auto Salon.  We saw a few ND’s this year but overall nothing too exciting. Despite this, Mazda did surprised us with a new ND part many of you were asking for.

Let’s get started!

Autoexe

Autoexe brought out a sweet looking Machine Gray Metallic RF.  It’s sporting a ND-05S Front Bumper.

The car was also rocking 17” Rays Gram Lights 57XTREME Wheels which looked really nice with the paint color.

The back of the vehicle was showcasing their ND Rear Spoiler , Rear Diffuser and their Dual-tip Centered Exhaust.

Inside the interior, we saw some goodies that we just added to the web store recently. Like this Autoexe Smart Key Cover.

Also, the Autoexe Carbon Paddle Shift Covers.

Lastly, the Autoexe Fuel Cap Cover. My favorite!

Leg Sport

Leg Sport came out again with the same Mariner Blue ND we’ve seen the past 3 years. Never gets old to see it though!

Here we see the Leg Sport Front Lip and Carbon Cooling Grille.

Gotta love carbon fiber!

In the rear, we see the Leg Sport Club Sport Rear Diffuser painted to match the body and the Ducktail Spoiler in carbon fiber.

The Leg Sport Club Sport Side Skirts were also on display. They are very small but they flow with the body lines very well.

Their ND Roll Bar was also on display which comes with carbon fiber panels to fill the gaps created from the install. Super nice.

Garage Vary

Garage Vary brought out their Demo car which everyone is familiar with by now. This time with with a few new parts.

The new super aggressive Front Bumper is hard to miss.

I’m wondering how it would look with the integrated canards painted.

Also new are these Fender Canards!

They look so good with the Vented Fenders!

This is a nice view of the Garage Vary Side Steps.

Out in the back, we see the Garage Vary Ducktail SpoilerRear Air Duct, and Rear Diffuser T-2. Also shown is a padded Carbing Roll Cage.

Inside we see the super cool Garage Vary Meter Gauge Hood.

Under the bonnet, we see the Garage Vary’s Ram Air Intake System with carbon fiber housing.

R-Spec

R-Spec made a appearance again.

Their ND Half Bumper is still very striking.

Their ND Rear Spoiler comes with a integrated back up camera!

The blue 18” Work Meister Wheels matches the company’s color scheme.

Mazda

Mazda had a large booth with a few ND’s. The most exciting unveiling was on this ND.

Carbon Fiber Hard Top !

It’s perfect!

Also in the Mazda booth were a few ND race cars from HM Racers and Cabana.

We hope you enjoyed our (short) coverage of Tokyo Auto Salon 2019! We can’t wait to see what 2020 brings for the ND roadster.

If you are interested in any of the parts shown, please don’t hesitate to send us an email for pricing and availability. Subscribe to our newsletter for update on new car parts for your car!

The Road(Ster) Trip – Las Vegas

It’s Vegas Baby! It was  my next stop after going to the awesome Phoenix meeting. I decided to do a quick stop at the Grand Canyon and then continue my journey to the Sin City!

What a beautiful scenery!

I then organized my event at Tenaya Creek Brewery in a very odd but interesting neighborhood. It was a last minute event (as usual), but an astonishing number of people showed up! I was not used to the time change and daylight wasn’t with us for very long

My favorite car of the event must be Eddie’s Pit Crew NA! This car was so perfect, at so many levels!

From the exterior, you can easily spot the Pit Crew Front End, (Discontinued) Project-G G-Fusers, Runabout M2 Mirrors and awesome & super rare SSR Longchamps!

Not only did it look good from the outside, but the engine bay was also worth a look (I really failed at taking those pictures):

The car was running a wild sounding IRTB Kit as well as a very nicely designed header (the Right Hand Drive cars can have sweet designs due to the steering column being on the other side).

And let’s not forget the interior that’s really Nakamae inspired! It’s featuring a SUPER RARE Nielex Stainless Console, the Nardi Classico Wood & Polished Steering Wheel and the neat KG Works Door Handles.

Let’s not forget the rear. The car really was a perfect complete build… it had the Pit Crew Rear End, Pit Crew Dual Center Muffler, ZOOM Back Lamp Kit and a very cool and discontinued Kanspo Hardtop.

What a cool car!

Another unique car came up, a cool NA with carbureted 13B rotary engine!

A lot of people showed up as well!

(Intruder!)

(Thanks for the REV9 Sticker!)

At that point, the meeting was going pretty well!

I have to apologize for the bad quality pictures! I’m no photograph, but I try to do my best with the lighting that’s provided by mother nature~

At one point, it looked like a drift crew showed up!

(This one was pretty neat looking)

(Gotta love the SUGOI license plate~)

Fitment specialist, anyone?

He was rocking the Jet Stream Lower Diffuser very nicely!

Gotta love the old school SSR Mesh wheels here~

And more people showed up!

(Did I say some were pretty low…!)

Lastly, some fellow ND showed up as I was starting to feel lonely!

This one has the beautiful Garage Vary Rear Spoiler.

Showing that the Autoexe Rear Diffuser even looks great in the dark!

This customer also had installed the DAMD Seat Covers in his left hand drive (LHD) ND which looks spot-on!

The REV9 Side Stickers were shining even at night, I was pretty happy with the result. Some other parts noticeable on this image are the Advan RZ 17” Wheels, TK Style Carbon Front Lip, Beatrush Tow Hook & REV9 Katakana Windshield Banner!

It was an awesome meeting and I’d like to thank everyone who showed up!

The Road(Ster) Trip – Phoenix

The Phoenix trip was one I was really looking forward to. First of all, I’ve never been to Arizona and second was that I had many customers from that area and I wanted to see how was the scene.

The place is really nice (and dry). Weather was great and I’ve had lots of fun climbing Camelback Mountain.

The sunset was pretty early, so pictures are not the best, unfortunately! The even was held at Helio Basin Brewing Company parking lot.

That’s pretty much the only Miata I’ve seen that doesn’t mind hitting a curb! Offroad baby!

Lowered ND & NA looking good~

It’s funny to see that just a few months ago, my gold ND was exactly the same as the car it’s parked next to. Also, notice the SUPER RARE Wataru NA!

The Wataru NA has just been imported by the owner who owns several Miatas. This one is a factory built (means they put the kit on a brand new NA) and I believe the total production of this model was only 20 or so units.

It’s crazy to see that the engine opening is so small and the rear so different than OEM (really cool dual muffler setup). It’s such a cool looking NA, I was amazed to see this in Arizona!

Those 2 NA’s were super neat!

The 15×8 Enkei RPF1-RS Wheels & ZOOM Fuel Lid look really nice on there.

And maaaany people showed up too!

It was a really fun meet and I’m so happy so many people decided to drive to come and see our demo car!

I also ended up on Youtube!

The next day, I decided to do some sightseeing, I was not disappointed!

And this photo is one of my favorite of this trip. Showing nicely the 17×8 Advan RZ Wheels, Rallybacker Ducktail Spoiler, Beatrush Tow Hook & Odula Rear Diffuser!

I hope you enjoyed this other episode of The Road(Ster) Trip! Next stop… Grand Canyon & Las Vegal!

The Road(Ster) Trip – Santa Fe

This post is about the mini-meet we organized in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Let me first begin by saying that it was the very first time I went that far by car in USA.

I was really impressed by the scenery in New Mexico, but also, by how slow my car felt. My car is a naturally aspirated built, getting its power mainly from the Autoexe Ram Air Intake. When I started going uphill and uphill and… uphill in New Mexico, my car felt like it lost 50hp. It didn’t help that no premium gas was available where I needed to fill up and my car was also running on 86 octane (I didn’t even know that existed…).

My car was also having terrible MPG (for a ND…) :

I gotta say that I’ve had one hell of a good lunch, gotta love the BBQ scene in USA:

It was such a long day of driving that I just took a few quick photos :

Then, I arrived at Santa Fe Brewing :

The sunset was pretty early. At one point, a few enthusiasts made it to the event and I took pictures (the very worst…)! I have to thank the person who used his flash to help me take all those pictures. They are really bad, but at least we tried!

This one had the really cool fender mirrors mounted!

It’s not often that you see 2 cars running the same purple at a meet! It also had Car Make Corn’s Retro Mirrors installed!

It was getting pretty hard to focus… super dark!

And this heavily modified NB came up with many of our REV9 Stickers on his car ^_^

Engine was definitely not stock!

Funnily enough, while showing off the engine bay of my ND, we found a wrench sitting on the rain guard… no wonder my hood didn’t fit properly! That probably happened when we installed my Beatrush Front Strut Bar in the dark… haha!

Well, it was now time to take a little break and enjoy some delicious beers~

We hope that you enjoyed this short blog post! We know we are really late posting it, but we believe it’s worth documenting the best trip we’ve ever done!

The Road(Ster) Trip – Dallas

Our Dallas event was not supposed to happen (this city was not in my route in the beginning), but many people asked for it and we decided to organize it. It became one of the biggest event we’ve hosted!

The event created a lot of “controversy” because it happened at the same time as an other regular event (hosted at a fast food joint called Keller’s) which had been going on for a very long while. We almost cancelled the event due to many people criticizing our choice of location (we’ve always been doing events in Microbreweries), but we decided to give it a go. For those who didn’t come to our event or those wondering why we didn’t go at their regular location, it’s an easy explanation. The REV9 USA Tour goal was to bring people who want to see our demo car, and share the same passion as we do. We didn’t want to just show up at other’s meeting. We wanted to promote the legit cars and see our valued customers from everywhere in USA!

Anyways, as we said, no need for drama and let’s enjoy each others! When I arrived at Community Brewing, many people were already there. The parking lot was huge and we parked the cars in a nice line…

(As you can see, A LOT of people showed up)!

I decided to take a photo of pretty much everyone who decided to join the event, before the sunset :

(Very neat 1993LE here!)

(Spot the Enkei Big End Barrel 15” Wheels on this NA)

(Lots of power in this picture!)

(Interesting NB with red top!)

(Sweet NC2 on Enkei RPF1 17” Wheels!)

(That NA was battle-ready!)

Really, a lot of people showed up!

By a lot, I mean a lot…

Some people showed late and couldn’t make it in the group image…

I met some awesome people, and had a really great time at a small after-party in Intrinsinc Smokehouse & Brewing (my 2 favorite things)!

After the event, I decided to drive towards a location I’ve seen on so many pictures, I needed to see it myself… Amarillo, TX!

The location itself is called “Cadillac Ranch” and is known for having many Cadillacs buried where you can just paint over it… really artsy!

Good luck getting a picture with no body in the frame…

(This shot shows nicely the TK-Style Carbon Front Lip, Advan RZ 17″ Wheels & Rallybacker Ducktail Spoiler)!

Gotta love the windfarms!

I don’t mind getting dirty for a cool shot!

(Good shot showing our REV9 Katanaka Banner as well as the REV9 V2 Stickers!)

A few more…

… and one of my favorite shot of the whole trip!

After that, I was heading towards Phoenix, AZ and decided to do some photoshoots during my drive…

(Calm before the storm!)

I hope you enjoyed this blog post! It’s 1 year late, but still, I’ll cover this whole Road(Ster) Trip as it was the best time of my life!
