The Road(Ster) Trip – Los Angeles feat. Project-G

At this rhythm, I’ll finish publishing my 2017 Roadster Trip by year 2025… I’m really sorry about all the time it takes to produce these blog posts, but we’ve been really busy improving the website speed, design and small things that you cannot see but makes the experience at our store more enjoyable!

So, here’s my post about the trip, of the city of angels: Los Angeles!

I gotta say, LA was one of the places I did enjoy the most during my trip. What a lively city.

Beautiful beaches…

Self-serve craft beer bars…!

Beverly Hills, wow!

And one hell of a cool sunset!

Did I, at one point, feel like at the beginning of The Fast And Furious… yup!

We announced the event a few weeks before it and our fine friends at Project-G helped us promote the event with this cool banner!

The event was planned as follows : we meet in a huge parking (Peter’s Marina) and then we go on a drive for photoshoot on PCH (Pacific Coast Highway). Unfortunately, things did not go as smooth as planned… haha!

This meeting was by far the BIGGEST one we did! Over 100+ Miatas showed up and we literally created traffic everywhere we moved haha!

I gotta say that the meeting location was PACKED before we arrived, so there were Roadsters everywhere! Really early in the meeting, we were asked to move the meeting, so all the photos I took were a bit rushed (sorry for bad quality)!

Here are the photos at Peter’s Marina :

This is the famous JonB’s NA Miata. It’s rocking some pretty rare Rays TE37 SL in 15×8 +25 and you can see it’s rocking the Project-G Corner Flares, (discontinued) Side G-Fusers & G-String Bikini Top! Such a clean car modded with taste!

This is Steve’s (from Project-G) NA with ultra-rare one-of-a-kind SSR EXC Fins 15” Wheels. You can also see the Project-G Corner Flares, (discontinued) Side G-Fusers & G-String Bikini Top as well as their new G-Vents!

This one is Joe’s (Steve’s partner) which is pretty much rocking the same parts as the previous one, but on a red car! The wheels are super nice SSR SP1R 15” Wheels~

This BRG NA was so clean! It had a neat tan color Project-G Bikini Top and some beautiful Runabout S800 Mirrors! The wheels were super wide Star Road Glowstar MSS 15” Wheels!

This NA was had some pretty wide/low offset Work CR01 15” Wheels.

This NC probably has my favorite wheel fitment ever. It had some very concave (now discontinued) Advan RS 17” Wheels!

Some more photos…

So, this was the end of our meet at Peter’s Marina, we had to move. It was good while it lasted~

We then tried to move to different location, but as I don’t know any place in Los Angeles, I told everyone to meet on PCH (which is a HUGE road)… all you could see is confused Miatas driving everywhere in every direction.

We somehow managed to find the parking lot of a restaurant that was not opened and we filled it completely.

As I was enjoying the awesomeness of such a thing, it took about 2 minutes before a security guard kicked us of our 2nd meeting in the same day. I tried to grab as many pictures as I could, so these were rushed (again). Hope you’ll enjoy, still!

Some intruders can be seen…~

Gotta love the near Enkei RPF1 15” Wheels on this silver NB~

This is Chris’ ND, he was one of our first customers to drill the trunk of their ND to fit a GT Wing. What a neat result. Car has the Odula Front Lip and Odula Carbon GT Wing. He gave me a Jackson Racing T-Shirt when we met (thanks!!).

Very cool (and rough) NA!

Peter-san’s NA with the Garage Vary Tail Lights, some ultra-rare SSR Star Shark 14” Wheels, the REV9 1028 Mirrors, full Nakamae interior, Barchetta Front Bumper, Garage Vary Headlight Lid and so much more! What a clean car.

Lee’s ultra clean ND that somehow reminded me of my car before the color change! It had the nice Rays ZE40 17” Wheels, Runduce Big Brake Kit, Kansai Service Front Diffusers, TUCKIN99 Side Skirts, TK Style Rear Diffuser & Garage Vary Rear Spoiler! This is such a quality build, the photos don’t do it justice.

Here’s Sean’s (just-finished) NC that was rocking the Jet Stream Gran Turismo Fender Flares as well as some super rare (and wide) SSR 17” (Type-C?) Wheels. The Front Lip was the Garage Vary Glide Front Lip!

Hmmm…

Here’s another ND that had an out-of-this-world shine (owner was a professional car detailer)! It had the Garage Vary Glide Front Lip, some (discontinued) Rays MTE37 17” Wheels, Rocket Bunny Rear Diffuser and Rallybacker Low Ducktail Spoiler! Love the “ND RF” plate~

Look at those SUPER WIDE Rays TE37v 15” Wheels~

Some more photos…

It all ended up with the best way to end a trip… getting caught at 90mph in a 65 zone…

I want to thank EVERYONE who came to this messy event! I’m sorry I was not able to talk with so many people due to being rushed out of both locations, but I do appreciate how nice it was for everyone to leave their place to meet us during their weekends! Special thanks for Joe & Steve at Project-G for helping me throughout the years and to organize this meeting, love you guys! I’ve added some more content (below) if you want to see more (nicer) photos and video!

Video of the event :

The Road(Ster) Trip – San Diego

It’s been a while since I’ve updated this series of posts. I haven’t forgotten, I’ve just been really busy with running the store and improving all the logistics.

Now, I gotta admit, my new favorite city in USA is definitely San Diego. I’ve met countless awesome people, loved the vibe of the place… it’s so beautiful.

Okay, enough of this, but one last shot showing the beauty of the place :

That’s a good shot showing our new REV9 Door Decals!

The meeting was a little bit last minute like most of our meets, ha. We held the meeting at a brewery I wanted to visit for a very long : Green Flash Brewing.

Here are the pictures:

You probably notice something interesting with the emblem of this white ND? Well, it’s rocking the very cool Garage Vary Emblem Intake! It’s super subtle, but actually functional.

The very next car was running quite a special kit…

Gotta love the crooked mirrors and fitment on this one!

This one is from a long time customer! You can see the Garage Vary Front Lip, Runabout S800 Mirrors and Enkei Apache-II Wheels.

I tried to take a good shot of the interior as it was really worthy, but it was getting pretty late! The interior was really classy with some old school bucket seats, JoyFast Shift Knob, JoyFast GT400 Shift Extender and Nardi 330MM Wood & Polished Spokes Steering Wheel. You can also spot the Nakamae Transmission Tunnel Trims!

Here are a bunch of NA’s who showed up.

And this one with cool 15×8 Gram Lights Wheels!

Even more Roadsters showed up!

This one was rocking the Jet Stream Turn Signal Intakes as well as very cool 15” Gram Lights 57V Wheels!

And even more people showed up!

Needless to say that for a last minute event, the number of people who showed up was quite impressive!

Ham (the legend) even showed up!

We were so busy with the event that we got locked in the parking lot… good thing we’re not driving lifted trucks!

We want to thank all of you who showed up! It was great to see so many people interested in seeing us.

The Road(Ster) Trip – Las Vegas

It’s Vegas Baby! It was  my next stop after going to the awesome Phoenix meeting. I decided to do a quick stop at the Grand Canyon and then continue my journey to the Sin City!

What a beautiful scenery!

I then organized my event at Tenaya Creek Brewery in a very odd but interesting neighborhood. It was a last minute event (as usual), but an astonishing number of people showed up! I was not used to the time change and daylight wasn’t with us for very long

My favorite car of the event must be Eddie’s Pit Crew NA! This car was so perfect, at so many levels!

From the exterior, you can easily spot the Pit Crew Front End, (Discontinued) Project-G G-Fusers, Runabout M2 Mirrors and awesome & super rare SSR Longchamps!

Not only did it look good from the outside, but the engine bay was also worth a look (I really failed at taking those pictures):

The car was running a wild sounding IRTB Kit as well as a very nicely designed header (the Right Hand Drive cars can have sweet designs due to the steering column being on the other side).

And let’s not forget the interior that’s really Nakamae inspired! It’s featuring a SUPER RARE Nielex Stainless Console, the Nardi Classico Wood & Polished Steering Wheel and the neat KG Works Door Handles.

Let’s not forget the rear. The car really was a perfect complete build… it had the Pit Crew Rear End, Pit Crew Dual Center Muffler, ZOOM Back Lamp Kit and a very cool and discontinued Kanspo Hardtop.

What a cool car!

Another unique car came up, a cool NA with carbureted 13B rotary engine!

A lot of people showed up as well!

(Intruder!)

(Thanks for the REV9 Sticker!)

At that point, the meeting was going pretty well!

I have to apologize for the bad quality pictures! I’m no photograph, but I try to do my best with the lighting that’s provided by mother nature~

At one point, it looked like a drift crew showed up!

(This one was pretty neat looking)

(Gotta love the SUGOI license plate~)

Fitment specialist, anyone?

He was rocking the Jet Stream Lower Diffuser very nicely!

Gotta love the old school SSR Mesh wheels here~

And more people showed up!

(Did I say some were pretty low…!)

Lastly, some fellow ND showed up as I was starting to feel lonely!

This one has the beautiful Garage Vary Rear Spoiler.

Showing that the Autoexe Rear Diffuser even looks great in the dark!

This customer also had installed the DAMD Seat Covers in his left hand drive (LHD) ND which looks spot-on!

The REV9 Side Stickers were shining even at night, I was pretty happy with the result. Some other parts noticeable on this image are the Advan RZ 17” Wheels, TK Style Carbon Front Lip, Beatrush Tow Hook & REV9 Katakana Windshield Banner!

It was an awesome meeting and I’d like to thank everyone who showed up!

The Road(Ster) Trip – Phoenix

The Phoenix trip was one I was really looking forward to. First of all, I’ve never been to Arizona and second was that I had many customers from that area and I wanted to see how was the scene.

The place is really nice (and dry). Weather was great and I’ve had lots of fun climbing Camelback Mountain.

The sunset was pretty early, so pictures are not the best, unfortunately! The even was held at Helio Basin Brewing Company parking lot.

That’s pretty much the only Miata I’ve seen that doesn’t mind hitting a curb! Offroad baby!

Lowered ND & NA looking good~

It’s funny to see that just a few months ago, my gold ND was exactly the same as the car it’s parked next to. Also, notice the SUPER RARE Wataru NA!

The Wataru NA has just been imported by the owner who owns several Miatas. This one is a factory built (means they put the kit on a brand new NA) and I believe the total production of this model was only 20 or so units.

It’s crazy to see that the engine opening is so small and the rear so different than OEM (really cool dual muffler setup). It’s such a cool looking NA, I was amazed to see this in Arizona!

Those 2 NA’s were super neat!

The 15×8 Enkei RPF1-RS Wheels & ZOOM Fuel Lid look really nice on there.

And maaaany people showed up too!

It was a really fun meet and I’m so happy so many people decided to drive to come and see our demo car!

I also ended up on Youtube!

The next day, I decided to do some sightseeing, I was not disappointed!

And this photo is one of my favorite of this trip. Showing nicely the 17×8 Advan RZ Wheels, Rallybacker Ducktail Spoiler, Beatrush Tow Hook & Odula Rear Diffuser!

I hope you enjoyed this other episode of The Road(Ster) Trip! Next stop… Grand Canyon & Las Vegal!

The Road(Ster) Trip – Santa Fe

This post is about the mini-meet we organized in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Let me first begin by saying that it was the very first time I went that far by car in USA.

I was really impressed by the scenery in New Mexico, but also, by how slow my car felt. My car is a naturally aspirated built, getting its power mainly from the Autoexe Ram Air Intake. When I started going uphill and uphill and… uphill in New Mexico, my car felt like it lost 50hp. It didn’t help that no premium gas was available where I needed to fill up and my car was also running on 86 octane (I didn’t even know that existed…).

My car was also having terrible MPG (for a ND…) :

I gotta say that I’ve had one hell of a good lunch, gotta love the BBQ scene in USA:

It was such a long day of driving that I just took a few quick photos :

Then, I arrived at Santa Fe Brewing :

The sunset was pretty early. At one point, a few enthusiasts made it to the event and I took pictures (the very worst…)! I have to thank the person who used his flash to help me take all those pictures. They are really bad, but at least we tried!

This one had the really cool fender mirrors mounted!

It’s not often that you see 2 cars running the same purple at a meet! It also had Car Make Corn’s Retro Mirrors installed!

It was getting pretty hard to focus… super dark!

And this heavily modified NB came up with many of our REV9 Stickers on his car ^_^

Engine was definitely not stock!

Funnily enough, while showing off the engine bay of my ND, we found a wrench sitting on the rain guard… no wonder my hood didn’t fit properly! That probably happened when we installed my Beatrush Front Strut Bar in the dark… haha!

Well, it was now time to take a little break and enjoy some delicious beers~

We hope that you enjoyed this short blog post! We know we are really late posting it, but we believe it’s worth documenting the best trip we’ve ever done!

The Road(Ster) Trip – Dallas

Our Dallas event was not supposed to happen (this city was not in my route in the beginning), but many people asked for it and we decided to organize it. It became one of the biggest event we’ve hosted!

The event created a lot of “controversy” because it happened at the same time as an other regular event (hosted at a fast food joint called Keller’s) which had been going on for a very long while. We almost cancelled the event due to many people criticizing our choice of location (we’ve always been doing events in Microbreweries), but we decided to give it a go. For those who didn’t come to our event or those wondering why we didn’t go at their regular location, it’s an easy explanation. The REV9 USA Tour goal was to bring people who want to see our demo car, and share the same passion as we do. We didn’t want to just show up at other’s meeting. We wanted to promote the legit cars and see our valued customers from everywhere in USA!

Anyways, as we said, no need for drama and let’s enjoy each others! When I arrived at Community Brewing, many people were already there. The parking lot was huge and we parked the cars in a nice line…

(As you can see, A LOT of people showed up)!

I decided to take a photo of pretty much everyone who decided to join the event, before the sunset :

(Very neat 1993LE here!)

(Spot the Enkei Big End Barrel 15” Wheels on this NA)

(Lots of power in this picture!)

(Interesting NB with red top!)

(Sweet NC2 on Enkei RPF1 17” Wheels!)

(That NA was battle-ready!)

Really, a lot of people showed up!

By a lot, I mean a lot…

Some people showed late and couldn’t make it in the group image…

I met some awesome people, and had a really great time at a small after-party in Intrinsinc Smokehouse & Brewing (my 2 favorite things)!

After the event, I decided to drive towards a location I’ve seen on so many pictures, I needed to see it myself… Amarillo, TX!

The location itself is called “Cadillac Ranch” and is known for having many Cadillacs buried where you can just paint over it… really artsy!

Good luck getting a picture with no body in the frame…

(This shot shows nicely the TK-Style Carbon Front Lip, Advan RZ 17″ Wheels & Rallybacker Ducktail Spoiler)!

Gotta love the windfarms!

I don’t mind getting dirty for a cool shot!

(Good shot showing our REV9 Katanaka Banner as well as the REV9 V2 Stickers!)

A few more…

… and one of my favorite shot of the whole trip!

After that, I was heading towards Phoenix, AZ and decided to do some photoshoots during my drive…

(Calm before the storm!)

I hope you enjoyed this blog post! It’s 1 year late, but still, I’ll cover this whole Road(Ster) Trip as it was the best time of my life!

The Road(Ster) Trip – Austin 2017

Austin was the second city I visited in the great state of Texas.

A nice lineup of Roadsters came out to hangout and drink a beer or two at Circle Brewing Company.

The ND’s gotta stick together.

I parked up front 🙂

A neat ceramic ND with Mazdaspeed front lip and side skirts.

This Soul Red ND had a Mazdaspeed front lip as well.

Another NDRF !

Garage Vary Eyelids make this lowered Mazdaspeed NB2 look pretty nice.

This NB is a little rough but look at those wheels ! They are 15” Enkei RPF1-RS with Special Brilliant Coating(SBC).

The NA’s also came out for the meet.  This one has some nice aero fenders and wide wheels.

Montego Blue NA with 15″ 5-ZIGEN wheels.

By far the coolest Miata at the meet ! 15″ Star Road Glow Star MS-G look fantastic on the red NA! The Project-G Corner flare with fender flares is a nice touch. The car had lots of hard-to-find parts as well.

The interior is just as awesome! Look at all that Nakamae Quilted Interior Pieces : Quilted Dashboard, Quilted Top Cover, Quilted Door Cards & Quilted Seat Covers…. amazing!

Drool.

This race ready NA was very pristine from Austin of Austin.

Sunburst Yellow and 14″ Enkei’s RPF-1’s are such a good combo!

That red hardtop though !

Nardo grey paint on white wheels and red side mirrors make this one super cool and unique, also beautiful Garage Vary Front Lip. Funnily enough, the owner was at our first meeting of the year in Connecticut driving a Nismo 350Z!

The Texas sun is no joke. Great wheel fitment nonetheless.

I hope you enjoyed this post! Thanks to everyone who attended this meet in Austin. I had a great time. Met some awesome people and still love this city as much as last time. Next stop…….Dallas!

The Road(Ster) Trip – Houston 2017

After surviving New Orleans, I decided to continue my adventure to a place where I held a meeting last year : Houston, Texas. I knew that the cars would show up would be legit, as last year’s attendance was pretty nice.

I almost cancelled the event due to Hurricane Harvey. Half of the city was still under the water, but the location where we wanted to hold the event (8th Wonder Brewing) had been lucky enough to stay dry.

We decided to hold a fundraising at the same time and give free beers in return of a donation!

Oh well, enough talk and let’s get to the cool pictures!

When I showed up (late, as usual), there was already a bunch of people at the event (and some familiar faces from last year).

I parked the car and started taking pictures before it became too dark:

This car just keeps on getting better. It’s owned by Nic Johnson. The Barchetta Front Bumper, TRAP Front Lip, RS Watanabe B-Type, REV9 1028 Mirrors and Garage Vary Intake Lid just makes it super classy!

My car was finally clean, showing nicely the new REV9 Katakana Banner!

Francisco’s NB was now rocking a beautiful Autoexe NB Front Bumper, the Rays MTE37 16×8 +25, Jet Stream Aero Fenders, Jet Stream Clubman GT Side Steps and Garage Vary Eyelids makes it perfect in my opinion!

The interior rocking a lot of custom work just makes it even nicer!

This cool NA owned by Chris had Work GooCar 15” Wheels with Runabout M2 Mirrors and KG Works Front Turn Signals. Super classy.

The clean engine bay was showing a Jackson Racing Supercharger & Rare/Discontinued ARC Radiator Plate.

The interior was also very clean with subtle and elegant touches.

This ND on Advan RZ-2 17” Wheels was also rocking the Autoexe Fog Lights & REV9 Matte Black Emblems!

It also had the Garage Vary Rear Spoiler and TUCKIN99 Short Antenna!

This nice limited edition NA with newly added TRAP Front Lip & Enkei RPF-1 14” Wheels looked pretty good too.

A clean example of NA with Enkei Classic Compe 15” Wheels!

And I always reserve a small showcase on this car, because it’s so unique and clean! This NA owned by Marc has the beautiful Jet Stream Clubman R Front Lip, Car Make Corn’s Classic Mirrors, KG Works Rear Spoiler, Garage Vary Tail Lights, Project-G Hardtop Spoiler and so many cool other parts~

Some other people showed as well!

And some non-Miatas too~

It was a really fun meeting and I’m happy to have hosted a second event in Houston. Totally worth it!

Funnily enough, I ended up on local news a few days later because I was stuck in traffic…

I hope you enjoyed this post! I’m really sorry for making these blog post a year later…

The Road(Ster) Trip – New Orleans 2017

I’ve been to New Orleans quite a few times, but never did a proper event in the city of vice! After many request to do it, I decided to do it. It was totally worth it~

When I arrived, there were already quite a few people. The sun was hitting us HARD that day! Let’s say the night before was a bit intense for me, but I recovered nicely and met with some awesome people!

This sleeper NA with a big blower and interesting intake setup:

Neat NC on Work Emotion Wheels!

A NB with a very interesting looking hardtop:

Some cool looking NA & NB:

This dual center exhaust setup was really nice:

A slammed NA with super wide steelies & Runabout S800 Mirrors~

It was so hot, everyone had an umbrella to avoid the sunburns… I did not bring an umbrella unfortunately! I really like the neat look my car had when I was riding on those 17” Advan RZ Wheels.

This pretty cool NB with Mazda Big Lip Kit and additional ground effect was very nice:

This dark blue NB with Garage Vary Front Lip was also pretty sweet

At one point, cars were everywhere, but none were next to each other… so we decided to move some road cones and create our own parking :

Find which car does not belong in the lineup… (just kidding, we enjoy all type of Roadsters)!

… but we need a Mazda-only shot, too!

That was a lot of people for a last minute meeting!

Great parking job!

And the obligatory side shots (showing nicely our new REV9 V2 Stickers) :

(Why did that Kia come break our perfect lineup…)

And here are more photos of the event :

I hope you enjoyed this picture heavy post! I’m really sorry for making these blog post almost a year later (actually over a year later), but I really want to show how awesome this Road(Ster) Trip was!

The Road(Ster) Trip – Key West & Tampa Meeting

Oh, it’s been a while we’ve done a blog post! This one is mainly about our meeting in Tampa during August of 2017! Yep, we’re almost 1 year late, but the blog post is pretty awesome.

I’m sorry about the time it took, we’ve been busy improving our service and shipping time lately! We’ll continue posting the other Road(Ster) Trip Blog Posts in the next few weeks~ LOTS of awesome pictures to show!

So, I first started by going to the Southernmost point of USA : Key West. It’s a beautiful drive that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys ocean views!

This shot shows the TK Style Front Lip and Odula Side Skirts (both in Carbon Fiber finish) pretty well :

Here are some more images of the photo shoot before showing the image from the Tampa Meeting:

My favorites…

Such a nice place….

But it was time to leave….

Key West to Tampa was a long drive. I was not so lucky on this one… it rained the whole time, but I also managed to hit a road reflector which flew off under my car and made by whole side skirt panel to fall off…

I did not notice until someone pointed at my car, and I knew something was wrong…

Unfortunately, it was too late…

Luckily, I had some stickers from many visit at breweries which I used to make the side skirt hold to the side of the car… temporarily.

Let’s move on to the Tampa Meet! I arrived and there were quite many people already! I had a good excuse to be late… haha! Here are the photos :

This NA was such a neat car. Working some (narrow) Work Equip 03 15” Wheels, KG Works Ducktail Spoiler and ZOOM Carbon Fiber Mirrors :

This was pretty awesome :

Gotta love this NA rocking the new Work Equip 40 Wheels, REV9 OE-Style Mirrors & Jubiride Fender Flares!

Here’s another nice car with Garage Vary Front Lip & Work Equip 01 Wheels!

Alex’s NB rocking NUE Front Wider Fender Flares & NUE Rear Wide Fender Flares was filthy!

Dope door panels by my friend at Spinnywoosh:

And then the rain came… (what’s up Tatiana?)

V6 ND!

Had to take a good shot of this beauty… the Jet Stream Type-2 Ducktail Spoiler for NA! So perfect.

Special mention for the NB with custom made rally lights with plexi glass cover!

And the lowest ND I ever saw joined the party (rocking 16×8 +0 wheels) :

Here are some photos of other cars I could take before rain became unbearable :

It was an awesome meeting! It’s a shame that the weather was not with us, but we’ve had an awesome time!

We ended up doing a party at Spinnywoosh’s place… it ended up being pretty Miataseque-epic!

We hope you enjoyed this very late post about our Road(Ster) Trip to Tampa! You can check the previous posts using this link and we’ll continue adding more posts in the coming weeks!
